[WATCH] Crazy Footage of Large Tornado South of Midland, Texas
Footage of a large tornado south of Midland, Texas was captured yesterday May 30, 2024, and has quickly gone viral with nearly 100,000 views, a mere 14 hours since it was originally posted to Facebook.
It's a pretty cool video. If you haven't peeped it yet, take a look:
There have been at least 850 tornados confirmed in the United States this year alone, and USA Today ranks this year among the busiest in history. So far, 2024 is the sixth busiest year on record in the past 30. The National Weather Service predicts it to rise even further in the ranks.
36 people have died in tornados since April 26th. Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas, and Oklahoma are having a rough go of it. If you live in Tornado Alley, make sure you have a plan for the unthinkable. You never know when one might hit home and it's better to be safe than sorry.
We've been pretty lucky so far in Lubbock, Texas. There's been some major wind, rain, and hail, but we haven't seen a twister yet....*knock on wood*...
