It's not every day a giraffe smashes through your windshield in Texas. A family was touring the animal facility at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center just south of Fort Worth, when a giraffe poked its head through the sunroof of their vehicle. They snapped a quick photo with the giraffe before it lost its balance and took a fall onto their windshield, covering the family in broken glass.

This accident happened before the family was even a quarter of the way through an interactive tour where guests can wild feed animals directly from their cars. Luckily, nobody in the vehicle was injured, just a bit shaken up.

Has anything crazy like this ever happened to you at a wildlife center in Texas? I'd love to hear from you or see your photos and videos. Please feel free to email me at Chrissy.Covington@townsquaremedia.com if you've got a story to tell. I've never been to one of these, and it looks like I won't be going anytime soon! Haha.

Honestly, though, giraffes are not at all predators and are actually very nice to humans. This guy just had a bit of a slip. He didn't mean any harm at all. So, don't develop a new fear of giraffes! They should be the least of your worries.
