Wave of Excitement: Major Waterpark Project May Land in Texas
I love a good waterpark, but the sun hates me! I always burn to a crisp no matter how often I reapply sunscreen. An indoor waterpark? Now, that's something I can get behind, and I'm in luck because there are whispers that a huge new indoor waterpark may be on its way to the Lone Star State.
Kalahari Resorts, who claim to be responsible for the largest indoor waterparks in the United States, might set up shop in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. The company is eyeballing some property on State Highway 121 and Stacy Road.

The new attraction will feature both an indoor and outdoor waterpark, offering year-round fun and plenty of sunshine for those who love the outdoors. There will also be a convention center and a family entertainment center. Oh, and...this new waterpark could bring around 1,000 jobs to Allen, Texas.
Sounds like a win-win to me!
The entire property will span approximately 1.2 million square feet. That's huge!
Right now, Kalahari Resorts has only one other Texas location in Round Rock that opened in 2020. In total, there are 5 in the United States. Texas TOTALLY needs at least 2 of them...fingers are crossed that the plans for a new one in Allen work out.
