The Lubbock City Council meets Thursday, Jan. 25, and on the agenda is a resolution that, if adopted, could mean the beginning of the end for the Lubbock Coliseum and Auditorium.

Lubbock City Councilman Jeff Griffith appeared on Monday's Chad Hasty Show on KFYO and said if the City Council approves the resolution on Thursday, it will lead to a public vote on May 5th. The citizens of Lubbock must vote to approve the resolution to abandon the property for it to happen. If voters approve, the property would be handed over to Texas Tech University.

Councilman Griffith says the property currently costs Lubbock $700,000 a year.

Would you vote to abandon the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum and Auditorium?
