Yates Flooring Did Not Have Their Flag the Day John McCain Died
Yates Flooring in Lubbock is known for flying a truly massive and impressive American flag. But on the day Senator John McCain passed, it wasn't at half-mast. In fact, it wasn't flying at all.
There was no political intent behind this, no malice -- no nothing, actually. Yates has a perfectly rational explanation for the entire incident, and I feel so badly for Mrs. Yates, who pleaded on Facebook for people to understand what happened:
May I make a suggestion? Perhaps more folks could seek to understand before jumping to conclusions about a family-owned local business? These folks are our neighbors; there's no reason to treat them so poorly.
