Your Halloween Costume Could Win You Some Serious Cash This Weekend In Lubbock

I am getting so excited for the 5th annual Halloween Havoc Costume Contest and Concert! We are only days away, and I'm telling you right now, you do NOT want to miss it. You could win some serious cash AND all of the profits go toward Harperfest, an organization that helps to support and improve mental health for people in the service industry, in honor of the late Jerrod Harper.

Do you think you might be short on rent next month? You've still got time to come up with an awesome costume! The first prize is going to take home a cool $300! That's huge! Second place is worth $200, and 3rd place wins $100. Oh, and if you are one of those cutesy couples that really likes to outdo everyone with sweet costumes, the winners of the couple's contest are going home with $200.

This event is also open to all ages, and the winners are selected by the audience. You get to vote for your favorite costume.

Of course, there are also going to be some fantastic musical performances by really talented local bands including Indego, Astringency, Ghostlux, Flipcup, and Element of Nexus. Those dudes all rock and if you've never seen them, this is a perfect time.

I'll be hosting the entire shindig, hanging out on stage, making fun of costumes, and giving away some prizes from local vendors. I am still throwing my costume together right now, so if you don't have one yet, you aren't alone!
