Just finished ONE listen to Green Day's "Uno" and I could not be more excited. In fact there are a lot of things I should be doing rather than writing this, but I wanted to dash out my initial thoughts. My first thought is WOW! More after the jump.
Every song on the Linkin Park pretty much plays out the same way. Imagine a scene in a Lifetime movie about teen suicide. A teen, crying, yells ‘you don’t understand’ then slams the door to his room. He then puts any one of these songs on repeat, cries a little more, then hangs himself. Seriously,when I hear these songs, I see swinging bodies. It’s just that melancholy and depressing.
Man I'm feeling the new "Black Stone Cherry". If you're a fan, it's probably not new to you, but traditionally bands and record companies feed radio stations 'one song at a time' . We just got the latest release from Black Stone Cherry and it's an EXCELLENT followup to "In My Blood". More after the jump.
In case you haven’t noticed, there’s nowhere on an iPhone to plug in an arcade-style fighting stick. That means we’re stuck with touch controls that try to replicate arcade setups, which is about as easy as playing handball while wearing oven mitts.
The fact that a game is great on a DS doesn’t mean its iOS port will be as impressive, or even playable. Some people yearn for Nintendo-sanctioned Mario Kart or Metroid to come to mobile, but that prospect sickens us. Some games just require buttons. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, though, is on the opposite end of the spectrum. It plays as though it was built from the ground up for iStuff.
Real-time strategy snobs insist that the only platform their games of choice work on is the PC, and for good reason.
Don't let anyone spoil this movie for you, and this article will have no spoilers in it. I can only tell you that this movie is above and beyond most anything ever made. The fact is, it references most everything ever made. The problems with the previews is that since this whole movie is a twist, they can't really tell you to much about what is going on.
