Matt Damon wins best improvised line is the Dunkin Donut commercial
I think most people agree that Ben Affleck's Dunkin Donut commercial during the Super Bowl was THE best ... absolutely hilarious. Who knew Ben Affleck was a rapper, or his friends Matt Damon and Tom Brady. Ok, to be fair they aren't rappers and never will be they proved that in the commercial. But did you know Matt Damon improvised part of the commercial and it was so funny they kept it in? It's true!
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have been besties for many many years and have been in numerous movies together, such as "Good Will Hunting and Dogma" so needless to say they have a great comradery and work very well together and it shows! Especially when rapping about donuts to Ben Afflecks real wife Jennifer Lopez dismay.
So the premise of the commercial which was teased and pre-promoted before the game, was that Ben Affleck wants to be a rapper and he gathered up his 2 friends Matt Damon and Tom Brady to form the Rap Group "The DunKings". The bust into a recording session of Jennifer Lopez's and break into song in ridiculous yellow outfits complete with Orange and Pink jog suits. Needless to say it wasn't the best and they left .. you know, exit stage right as they say and at the end of the commercial while walking off into the sunset Matt said to Ben, "Remember when I told you I would do anything for you? This is 'anything.'"
It was a great game but an even better commercial. Now, I must leave I am having a donut craving!
