Deftones helped ring in no. 35 for FMX at the Lonestar Pavilion in Lubbock, putting on a fiery set that floored the packed house.

The sold-out show was opened by Salt Lake City's Cult Leader. After the hardcore band warmed up the crowd with an insane set, Deftones hit the stage to cheers of "Deftones! Deftones! Deftones!"

Reaching back to classic records like 1997's "Around the Fur" and 2000's "White Pony" as well as their upcoming record "Gore," Chino and the guys quickly reminded Lubbock why they're one of modern rock's most enduring bands, straddling the line between heavy and soft, ragged and dreamy.
