Lubbock ISD Police Chief Accused Of Misbehavior

Everything Lubbock is reporting that Lubbock ISD Police Chief  Mark Hinshaw was involved in an incident last night in the Depot District.  Police were called around 11:00 p.m.  (which really isn't that late when it's not a school night).

They say he allegedly threatened his former girlfriend, appeared intoxicated and was armed. But police say he was not arrested.

The Chief has been placed on paid administrative leave until he goes through an internal review.

Okay, I like to have fun and get unhinged every once in a while.  I would not even have repeated this story except for the quote above.  "appeared intoxicated and was armed".  Now, what do you think the chances are of you or me walking away after an incident like this are?  Usually "threatening, armed and intoxicated" get's you at least a night in the slammer.  And "paid administrative leave" ?  It must be nice working for L.I.S.D.
