After a thorough battle with Kasey Kahne, who has been insanely strong this year with Hendrick Motorsports, Matt Kenseth earned yet another victory this year and another for Joe Gibbs Racing.

For Gordon fans like myself, things weren't so positive. Gordon started from the rear of the field and had to make up more ground than anybody else on the track. More bad luck surrounded the 24 team when a caution for debris was brought out while Jeff was on pit road. Maybe he can rebound next week.

As for other drivers, Jimmie Johnson opened up the largest lead in the standings for the Sprint Cup after a third place finish. Martin Truex, Jr. who has also been doing quite well as of late, finished fourth, with Clint Bowyer rounding out the top five. Brad Kesolowski fought hard to finish sixth, as his car seemed evil all day.

The NASCAR drivers invade Richmond next Saturday night for the second primetime, under the lights shootout this season. Don't forget to tune in.
