Lubbock favorite Shinedown closed out the 2015 FMX Freakfest with fire -- literally.

During the band's set, ceiling fixtures spewed flames and big bangs gave the Lubbock crowd a pre-Halloween shock. But Shinedown didn't rely on only fancy pyrotechnics and a killer stage show. They brought the songs that made them a radio mainstay and kept them relevant for rock fans worth their salt.

Shinedown kicked off their set with "Cut the Cord," the first single off their latest album, Threat to Survival. The song's bombastic hook had the thousands packed into the Lonestar Amphitheater moving and singing.

It's safe to say there will be a lot of people calling out "sick" Monday morning. Sorry, Lubbock business owners!
