This has been an awesome week, it started out with football, we got a few days of cool fall weather and a little rain, and we end the week with football.
We know there's a lot of Cowboys fans in Lubbock, and for some reason there seems to be an abundance of Steeler's fans as well. I don't follow much anymore, but I used to be a Chargers fan. More after the jump.
The excitement of football being back led to some good and bad picks in our first week of our Lubbock football expert pick'em. That excitement carried over into week two.

This Sunday night the Steeler's will once again take on the Bronco's in Denver, in what is sure to be a major grudge match. For those of you that may have forgotten, Denver beat the Steeler's last year in overtime to win the AFC championship title.
It's been a long hot summer, the Olympics were awesome, and it was great to see so many talented young people representing the United States in so many events. I have to say one of the best sights for me was seeing Michael Phelps SMOKE Tyler Clary! You may not remember Clary by his performance in the pool but maybe you will recall he blasted Phelps for his workout ethic right before the games began.
In a recent interview about his team, the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones was comparing his current team to previous ‘winning’ teams and uttered “I want me some glory hole”. Granted, it’s not what it sounds like, but it does make for a hilarious bit to play over and over and over.
The 2012 NFL Draft has come and gone and now it’s time to teams to assess their picks and begin to prepare for the upcoming training camp. For the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans, the draft helped fill some holes that were in dire need of filling.
The day started with rumors swirling around, supposedly stating Colt McCoy was going to be traded to the Packers, which would've meant that my boy Graham Harrell got put in another depth chart bind.
