I decided to ask my friends to send me a photo of what's inside their refrigerator. I received very little response. Usually, everyone jumps at the idea of having a photo featured in an article. Not this time.

Nobody wanted anyone to know about their dirty fridge, or what kind of naughty delicious foods they're cramming it with.

I had to beg. Some people even posted theirs, then got nervous and deleted them. What is everyone so afraid of?

I think we are all guilty of having a messy fridge from time to time. Some of us are worse than others. The refrigerator is a dirty little secret. It's a private place to put all of your favorite snacks, and to ignore mystery meals from three weeks ago until they are good and ripe.

I bet a few of my friends actually tidied up just to be able to share the photo, so hey, that's a good thing, right? You're welcome.

Maybe this article can serve as a reminder to everyone to clean out their fridge, or perhaps it's just a way to level the playing field and remind you that you're not a disgusting monster, but rather human like the rest of us. Most people shared surprisingly clean ones that made mine look pretty terrible, and have inspired me to scrubba dub when I get home.
