CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - Last Monday, Corpus Christi police officers arrested a 21-year-old man who allegedly made terroristic threats and planned a "mass casualty attack" on Texas law enforcement.

According to FBI Houston, Seth Andrea Gregori, planned an attack that would be similar to the 2016 Dallas ambush where Micah Xavier Johnson killed five Dallas police officers.

The Corpus Christi Police Department shared a statement regarding the thwarted terror attack on Facebook, along with a photo of the would-be killer.

An informant brought Gregori's sinister plans to the attention of law enforcement with screenshots of a conversation in which Gregori says, "Yes, I've planned on shooting and killing cops as much as I could like Micah planned it for years." The informant provided authorities with 71 pages of text messages, including 19 images from the crime scene of the 2016 ambush attack in Dallas.

A security officer at Mother Theresa's Shelter who knew Gregori told investigating officers that he never caused any trouble and was always respectful to police officers in the past.

The arrest affidavit says Gregori was planning to avoid harming innocent bystanders because he was a "sharpshooter" and only wanted to target police officers. He also allegedly planned to go after white officers and leave black and Mexican cops alone.

Thanks to FBI Houston and the Corpus Christi Police Department, Gregori is no longer a threat to law enforcement or anyone else. He is currently being held at the Nueces County Jail on criminal trespassing charges and charges of making terroristic threats against the CCPD.
