Ryan Murphy Teases ‘American Horror Story’ Season 7 Theme as … Bees?
I don’t think it’ll ruffle any feathers to call American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy a tad cryptic. The official Season 7 reveal is promised to us this Thursday, and Murphy has one last clue for TV super-sleuths: bees. No, not “beads.” Bees.
Murphy dropped the enigmatic tease from – where else – his Instagram, showing a person covered in bees and proclaiming the image a “last clue before this week’s TITLE reveal.” We’ve been thinking of potential Season 7 titles mostly in line with the reported 2016 election focus, so your guess is as good as ours:
Honestly, how many words or phrases do bees bring to mind that sound ominous enough as an American Horror Story subtitle? Swarm? Hive? Colony? Drones? Honey-Nut Cheerios? This has better be one killer reveal.
Elsewhere of Season 7, Carrie Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd has also joined in a mysterious role, along with Allison Pill, Colton Haynes, comedian Billy Eichner and Popular alum Leslie Grossman. In addition to returning stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson and Adina Porter, Season 7 might feature the return of several other characters from American Horror Story: Freak Show, while a separate upcoming season was said to bring together Murder House and Coven characters.
Season 7 will reveal itself soon, so stay tuned for the latest on American Horror Story.
