Another Massive Weird Eel Washes Up On Texas Beach
Mustang Island, Texas is the home to a new monster eel sighting. Did you see the sandworms in Dune? Yeah, it's kind of like that.
Eel Invasion!
If you're looking for nightmare-fuel, then look no closer than your nearest Texas beach. For the second time, a massive eel has washed up. These eels are big with sharp teeth and some have been known to ride in motorcycle gangs and carry switchblades. Okay, while I made that last part up, I think I'd be more comfortable with that than the truck facts about these eels.
The Specimen
These are known as "American Eels" for some reason. They can go about foot foot long and have a ton of really sharp teeth. Oh wait, the horror-show isn't over; they are also slimy and they breathe through their skin allowing them to travel over land if they need to.
More Nightmares
Are you scared yet? Maybe you're saying, "Good thing I don't live near the beach!". These eels actually start out as freshwater fish before they swim out to the ocean to reproduce. So, in case you're keeping track, the only place you won't find these eels is in the sky.
Watch Out!
Finding these eels on the Texas beach is a bit of a rarity, they are normally found on the East Coast of the U.S. and Canada. They probably won't bother you because they are nocturnal so just avoid them in nightclubs. As for the previous eel that washed up, it was a snapper eel that can go a full six foot!
