Authorities Foil Alleged Mass Murder Plot by Two Texas Teen Girls
Houston, Texas - Two girls, ages 15 and 16, were just arrested for a plot to attack Memorial High School in a Houston suburb. The details of the sinister plan were shared on social media and officials deemed them credible.
The school contacted the FBI to notify them of the online threats, and both girls were arrested within the 30 minutes that followed, putting a stop to what could have potentially been a mass murder.
One of the teens was a student at Willis High School in Conroe, the other was a student in the Spring Branch school district. The identity of the students remains a mystery.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office made a statement concerning the threats saying, "We are treating this matter with the utmost urgency and commitment, as threats of violence in our schools will not be tolerated," and the school is also implementing extra safety measures.
If you read many of my articles, you've heard me say a million times, that if you see something, say something. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. Trust your gut instinct when it comes to threats of violence or suicide. Contact the authorities immediately if you hear anything in your day-to-day life or on the internet that could result in tragedy.
You can be the person who saves the day. Do not wait for someone else to do the right thing. You may be the only hope.
