What better way to celebrate the upcoming fall season than with a brand-new flavor from Blue Bell Ice Cream?

I have two things to say right now:

  1. Dreams do come true.

  2. Good things really do come to those who wait.

I’ve been nudging my Lubbock Blue Bell guy for years to pass word up the chain that we needed a pecan pie flavor. And finally—it has arrived.

Blue Bell Releases Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream Just in Time for Fall

Blue Bell has long embraced pecans, most famously in their Pecan Pralines & Cream and Buttered Pecan flavors. So it was only a matter of time before the Texas-based company tackled what I’d call the official pie of Texas.

It’s been a hot minute since Blue Bell dropped a new flavor, and this one is red-hot. Technically the full name is Classic Pecan Pie, but I’ll admit I wish it had been called Texas Pecan Pie—or better yet, Wes Nessman’s Pecan Pie after all my lobbying.

The ice cream itself? Perfection. Blue Bell somehow keeps those bits of crust crisp while blending them into the creamy mix. And the pecans taste incredibly fresh—nothing like the bland, stale nuts you sometimes find in other ice creams. These taste like they just fell from the tree.

The best part? You don’t have to wait. The flavor hits stores today in both pints and half-gallons. Don’t be surprised if it sells out fast, much like the Dr Pepper Float release.

And while you’re there, keep an eye out—Blue Bell has also reintroduced Homemade in the Shade, a dreamy swirl of their Homemade Vanilla with rich fudge.

Bottom line? Stock up now before both of these flavors vanish.
