A Bon Jovi Drive-In Live Concert Is Coming to Lubbock
A special drive-in live concert broadcast of Bon Jovi is coming to Lubbock's Stars & Stripes Drive-in (5101 Clovis Highway) on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021.
Tickets go on sale beginning at noon Thursday, April 29th. Head to Encore Nights to sign up to be notified of special early-bird pricing and a special promotion.
Bon Jovi has too many hits to mention them all, classics like "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Livin' on a Prayer," "Always" and "Wanted Dead or Alive." I'm sure they'll perform most if not all of them. But if they don't play my favorite song, "Bed of Roses," I'm rioting. Just kidding. My favorite is "Bad Medicine."
While nothing beats seeing live music in person, live drive-in events really are the next best thing. I attended the Metallica drive-in concert last August, and I'll be honest: I was a little skeptical before the event. However, it ended up being ridiculously fun and it was really cool to see a special, just for us live broadcast of Metallica. There was some other fun bonus content as well. The energy from being around other enthusiastic fans is a priceless feeling, and it was the first time I saw a lot of my friends after several months of near solitude.
And if for some wild reason you've never been to Stars & Stripes (are you new here?), it's an absolute must-try Lubbock experience. The food is to die for, with carnival-style yummy fried goodness and their signature Chihuahua sandwiches. The Chihuahua sandwich should not be good; a combo of chili, cabbage and pimento cheese between two tostadas sounds like it should be straight-up illegal. Turns out it's absolute Flavortown, USA.
