I'm pretty darn excited to bring you this list. As a former Brownfield Cub, it brings me great delight to report that the culinary selections have been expanded.

Again, we are pulling these lists from the places with the most reviews on Yelp. Oftentimes the highest and lowest rated spots are the results of people who have extreme views one way or another. We're more interested in the places people go day in and day out.

The most reviewed place in Brownfield, Texas is Tencha's Lunch Box. I'm going to have to try this one myself because the three items pictured — migas, carne guisada, and chicken enchiladas — are my personal favorites.

The runner-up is The Cub Drive In. This place has been operating since I was in high school there. It looks like they offer up a nice combination of burgers, fried favorites, and a little Tex-Mex.

In third place is Lonestar. It looks like you'll get Southern cooking here, like chicken fried steaks, along with some Tex-Mex favorites. Though this is starting to sound like a theme, it sounds like you can't go wrong there.

Also in third place is the Hong Kong Buffet (tied with Lonestar at 19 reviews). They stand out as the lone spot not serving some sort of Tex-Mex (that we know of!).

El Palacio comes in as the fifth most reviewed spot. This place seems to lean a little heavier on the Mexican/Tex-Mex side of things, while still having enough love in its heart to earn raves for their burgers.

Yes, all but one place mentioned has one foot in the Tex-Mex culinary world. But have no fear, there are less-reviewed options that sound delightful too, like The Mennonite Cafe, Shogun, and The Crakin' Crab.

Bon appétit, Brownfield-bound!
