I can't imagine what it was like to see the 1960 American psychological thriller Psycho in theaters when it was released, but I will settle for watching it on the big screen tomorrow at Cactus Theater. If you're a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock films like I am, you might want to catch the director's cut of Psycho on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 at 7:15 pm.

I first watched the film when I was about 11 or 12. My mom rented it for me from the public library. I invited all of my friends over to watch it with me. When the film began and it was in black and white, I kind of took for granted just how scary it would actually be. None of us slept thing night.

It's definitely one that will stand the test of time.

There will only be the one showing at Cactus, and nobody under the age of 18 will be permitted entry without an adult. The doors open at 6:45 pm so you will have extra time to find a good seat, and the film runs 1 hour and 49 minutes long. I would highly recommend loading up your teenagers and taking them to see it! They probably won't expect a 62-year-old black-and-white film to actually be frightening. They are in for a surprise!

That will make it even better!

It's also a great film to watch on a date! Nothing says "Hold me closer!" like a good old-fashioned horror flick. Enjoy!
