Chick-fil-A Employee Exposes Lemonade Recipe, Shocking Customers
One of many people's favorite parts of getting Chick-fil-A is not just the chicken, waffle fries, or their signature sauce, but the lemonade.
The sweet and tangy drink pairs perfectly with their chicken, making it a go-to way to complete your order. Due to its popularity and Chick-fil-A's understanding of how many people prefer diet beverages, they offer their lemonade in a regular and diet option. They pride themselves in using fresh ingredients like real lemon juice (not from concentrate), cane sugar (or Splenda for the diet version), and water.
A Chick-fil-A employee recently posted a TikTok video exposing the recipe for the chicken restaurant's iconic lemonade, and it shocked viewers. Technically, there were no lies about their ingredients, but many people assume the restaurant freshly squeezes lemons each day. As it turns out, that's not the case.
In the video, the employee shows us a bag of lemon juice with pulp included in it. I assume the pulp is left in to make it more convincing that it might be freshly squeezed. They pour the juice into a large blue bucket before adding a large packet of Splenda and water, stirring the mixture until everything is combined.
For anyone that works in fast food or wasn’t expecting a freshly squeezed lemonade from somewhere like Chick-fil-A, this news isn't shocking. However, according to the comments on the TikTok video, many people were shocked by this and wished they never saw the video.
Amidst the shocked viewers, there were some people that claimed to be former Chick-fil-A workers. These individuals said that they used to squeeze the lemons by hand every day when they previously worked there. While that might've previously been true, it's not surprising that they now use pre-packaged juice.
Everything is about convenience nowadays and it's much easier to dump a bag of juice out than to squeeze lemons by hand.
