I check LubbockIntheLoop.com frequently, as it is my responsibility to stay relatively aware of big events in Lubbock. Lubbock In The Loop is exhaustive in its efforts to cover all kinds of things, from business openings and closings to local events and more. Don't worry, when I write about stuff they posted first, I always give credit. I don't want to be beaten by all my past English professors for plagiarizing, which I would deserve.

Lubbock In the Loop has taken that extra step once more with their website ChristmasInLubbock.com. It's a beautiful page and contains easily searchable event listings, a holiday light map, and an entire page dedicated to volunteering and giving opportunities during this season in which we endeavor to do a little extra good in the world. Santa is watching, after all.

There are tons of events to check out this weekend, many of which are providing enhanced efforts to keep their attendees COVID safe. I particularly like that Ballet Lubbock's performance of The Nutcracker is showing at Stars & Stripes Drive-In, so attendees can enjoy this long-standing Lubbock tradition from the safety of their own vehicles. Or you could check out the open-air Wofforth Farmer's Market as they celebrate a special Christmas-themed market day. Missing Candlelight at the Ranch? You can check it out virtually over the weekend. There are many options for Christmas events for you and your family to enjoy at whatever comfort level you're at.
