Texas Tech has announced it is putting another $500,000 in Tommy Tuberville's pocket each year and extending his contract through 2015.  .  Yes, I know about supply and demand and yes I know how much the football program brings in.  I also know that the average family of four can no longer afford to go to a game.  More and a fun video after the jump.
So anyways, at least in the college football world, Tuberville did and "average job".  I would think 8-5 against some iffy teams is in fact pretty good, but is it worthy of a GIANT raise?

The additional year will give Tuberville a five-year contract as he begins his second season this fall. Additionally, his annual compensation has been raised from $1.5 million to $2 million.

So, you working men and women out there, what do you think your chances of going from $15 an hour to $20 an hour for doing an average job are?  The whole thing kind of bums me out.
