Don't Procrastinate!

The good people at United Supermarkets have made early voting one of the most convenient things to do and should be applauded. You still have through Tuesday (the 30th) to early vote. The regular vote is Saturday, May 4th and if you get your vote in now, you can have Saturday free for your family and leisure activities.

Make A Statement

In Lubbock we have a very important mayor's race going on, but all eyes are actually on Proposition A.  Proponents of this proposition say the goal is to decriminalize smaller amounts of marijuana.  Opponents of the measure believe that it passing would ruin families and lead to increased abuse. With marijuana variants out there, and much more pressing issues for the police to bother with, it will be very interesting to see how the Hub City votes.

School Board And More

A number of school board positions are up for grabs as well. These are, of course different races in different districts. There are also a couple of Appraisal District positions up for election.

It's Quick

With the contentious race over Proposition A and a new mayor on the ballot, you can expect things to be a bit brisk on Saturday. Early voting just makes sense. If you need any information on what's up for grabs in your area, you can just click here. You will need to include your and address so you're directed to the proper district ballot.
