Starting on Tuesday, October 12th, Covenant Health will be able to give homebound patients the COVID-19 vaccine.

On that day, the Covenant Health Partners Mobile Integrated Health Team will begin making house calls to homebound patients. Patients will be receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and will be monitored for a short time period afterwards tin case of any adverse reactions of any kind.

This program will only be available for patients within Lubbock County. There will also be no cost for the COVID-19 or the actual house call.

Dr. Michael Robertson, Covenant Health Partners CEO, said this in relation to the new house calls:

Covenant Health strongly believes the best way to get past the COVID-19 pandemic is for every eligible community member to get their vaccine. Everyone in our community should be able to receive their vaccine regardless of their availability to obtain transportation. We are proud to provide this service for our community.

If you wish to make an appointment, it's asked that you call 806-725-LIVE or 806-725-5483. You can call from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
