Last night we had another big, bad beautiful full moon in the Hub City.

There's something about a full moon that puts a perspective on things. It's awesome to just stare at and think about your place in the solar system, or that people all over the world are looking at the same thing. It also is the harbinger of a new month with new, fun things to do.

The April moon is known as "the Pink Moon" not because it was brought to you by the fine folks at Mary Kay, but because the Native Americans that named it then had ground cover that bloomed pink when the April moon was full. Some tribes also called it "the Sprouting Grass Moon" which is pretty applicable because that's just started happening in Lubbock.

With the moon, you're never really "a day late and a dollar short", you can still catch an almost completely full moon tonight.
