ESPN just featured a look at Patrick Mahomes that you may want to check out.

The headline for the video is a little disingenuous because the story and conversation actually only have a little to do with Mahomes career at Texas Tech. Mainly, the focus is on how teams other than the Kansas City Chiefs overlooked him in the 2017 draft.

Great focus is put on the fact that the former Red Raider was picked 10th in the draft and was the second quarterback taken.

The crew is clearly enamored of Mahomes' talent, with commentator Marcus Spears saying: "Pat Mahomes' talent is unlike anything we've seen in the NFL"

Texas Tech is represented in the video, though, with a key play from 2016's Texas Tech-Kansas State game (at the 1:31 mark in the video above) featured in the report.

All of this is coming into focus on the heels of the Chiefs signing Mahomes to a 10-year deal that could be worth up to $503 million, which makes it the biggest deal for any professional sport in America.

Greg McElroy, ESPN's College Football Analyst, has apparently been a Mahomes fan from way back and heaped praise on the QB and his potential going forward.

Here's a bonus story on how the Mahomes deal changes things in the NFL:
