Mercy, what a game this afternoon at the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Texas Tech-West Virginia game lived up to all the hype, with the Red Raiders hanging on for a huge 72-71 win over no. 2 West Virginia in front of a raucous sold-out crowd.

Stiff defense and a few clutch free-throws down the stretch sealed the deal for what was a monstrous win for the Tech basketball program.

Texas Tech improves to 4-1 in the Big 12 and 15-2 for the season.

The Red Raiders will travel down to Austin on Wednesday, January 17 for a crucial conference tilt with the Longhorns of Texas.

Personally, I don't give a crap what ESPN or Chris Kael of FFDP say about Tech fans rushing the court; it's called school spirit.

You can see more videos of fans storming the court below.
