FMX Rocks As The Number One Radio Station In Lubbock Again!

Hello everyone!

It’s your radio pal Wes Nessman. We’ve been on a heck of a journey together. I have been a part of KFMX for about 38-39 of the stations 43 years. I was there at the first FMX Birthday Bash, and here we are in the first year, that I know of, that we didn’t even have a Birthday Bash (sorry, just couldn’t find the right band). I have been at shows with most of you and shared a beer with many of you. I hope if we met I was nice and wasn’t in my usual head-down-gotta-go-somewhere mode. The point is, neither I, nor any one at this station has ever forgot that we are given this opportunity to rock by you the people.

The Win

It is with great pride that I announce that you have once again selected KFMX as the number one station in Lubbock. I can’t go into great details because it’s part of the way the process works, but we are the most listened to radio station in Lubbock. Who would have thunk it, right? Shouldn’t country or pop be more popular here? Who knows, but they aren’t. I believe we build a gang of the best listeners on the planet and that gang has stayed together for better or worse.

Dominating

It was an overwhelming win too. Not only are we #1 overall, the RockShow, Renee Raven, and even weekends were all #1. We dominated seven days a week!  None of this would have been possible without you, and you speaking up for your favorite radio station.

The Road Ahead

We will continue to bring you the best rock and the best shows we possibly can. I truly believe the talent on our radio station is outsized for the Lubbock market, but we love it here and we’re staying. We have found other ways to grow with the RockShow now in five markets and Renee Raven now a marquee weekend talent at well over a dozen stations across America. We have found ways to make Lubbock the center of things and we’re pretty darn proud of that.
