We have so much love for our servicemen.

I'm wondering if people from Lubbock just love the U.S. Navy, or if the Navy just does a better job of letting us know what's up. Airman Torrez is obviously a little extra because not only is he Navy, he works with planes (it's a two-fer!).

You rock, Hector!

Here's his hype reel, via Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Tim Miller at the Navy Office of Community Outreach:

FORT WORTH, Texas - A native of Lubbock, Texas is serving with a U.S. Navy Reserve Aviation squadron that delivers around the clock worldwide support to all military services.

Airman Apprentice Hector Torrez is a naval aircrewman (mechanical) serving at Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VR 59) based at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base.

As a naval aircrewman, Torrez is responsible for the safety of aircraft passengers and the load and weight balance of cargo brought aboard.

“Basically for me, I am a second loadmaster trainee, so right now I’m working on making sure the passengers are safe and making sure the emergency equipment is stored and ready to go,” Torrez said. “I’m the person they’re going to call in case of emergency.”
