Frenship ISD Investigates Online Threat Made to One of Its Campuses
Frenship ISD is investigating a threat that was made on social media against one of its campuses.
Currently there's no active shooter or credible threat, but administrators and officers with the school are taking the appropriate action to handle the situation and prevent any further misinformation from spreading online.
The post, which shows two bullets in someone's hand and references a shooting seemed to have originated from the app Snapchat, but has also surfaced on Facebook. The concerned parent notified the school of the controversial post and, as of right now, the school is currently investigating this situation.
As per their guidelines, Frenship ISD says it cannot release any information pertaining to the discipline of students but will take appropriate disciplinary action.
Parents have been called and emailed of the situation reiterating the lack of credibility of the post that was floating around social media.
Frenship ISD thanked concerned parents and the community for taking action against any potential threat that could endanger the lives of children while at school.
