Frenship ISD has placed a female employee on administrative leave pending an investigation after Facebook posts went viral of the woman "playing catch nude at Buffalo Springs Lake near the kid's playground."

The accusations began on September 6th when Lorelei Shafer took to Facebook to accuse Jill Jaquess, the director of special education at Frenship ISD, of playing catch topless and sunbathing nude near a playground at Buffalo Springs Lake. Jaquess was also Principal of Terra Vista Middle School as recently as 2018 per this video posted on the school's Facebook page.

Shafer is a candidate for Lubbock County Water Control & Improvement District, Precinct 1. She's running her campaign on "cleaning up the lake and making it affordable again."

Shafer posted a censored picture of a seemingly topless Jaquess, along with what she overheard from interactions Jaquess and another man had with police. Shafer claimed that the man who was with Jaquess is the lake prosecutor for Buffalo Springs Lake.

On Wednesday morning, Frenship ISD's website still listed Jaquess as the director of special education. However, by Friday afternoon she had been removed from the website.

Frenship ISD released the following statement to KFYO News:

A Frenship ISD employee has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into an incident over the weekend at Buffalo Springs Lake. Frenship ISD was made aware of the incident late on Monday evening, and the employee was placed on leave Tuesday, September 6. The reported behavior did not occur at a school-related function. Frenship ISD will continue to investigate this incident and will take action according to personnel policy as warranted.

In subsequent posts and replies on Facebook, Shafer claims that she witnessed all of this on Labor Day at Buffalo Springs Lake.

Buffalo Springs Lake has not released a statement about the incident.
