HARDY Is Coming To Lubbock And His Live Show Hits Different

This is going to be a wild one.

We’ve had two monster breakthroughs when it comes to country artists dipping their toes into the rock pool. The first would be Jelly Roll. Then there’s HARDY.

For me, HARDY hits harder. Some of the breakdowns in his songs are absolutely decimating. Then again, I can’t claim to know his entire discography. What I do know, though, I absolutely love.

I was never a huge country fan, but I was a massive Southern rock fan. Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band, Blackfoot and many more made regular appearances on my turntable. That continued through the cassette years and all the way into the CD era.

Along comes HARDY with a little bit of that “Southern accent” Tom Petty sang about, but he mixes it with crushing guitars and breakdowns that sound like they could knock the pictures off your walls.

I guess what I’m saying is, I’m here for it.

When HARDY Rocks, He Hits Hard

“JACK” is still in regular rotation around here, while “JIM BOB,” “ROCKSTAR” and his collaboration with Falling In Reverse, “All My Women,” have also received a ton of airplay.

I’m sure someone else could speak more intelligently about HARDY’s abilities when it comes to his straight-up country material or the moments when he leans into rap. All I know is that when this guy chooses to rock, he knocks it out of the park.

That makes his upcoming Lubbock appearance one of the more intriguing shows of the year. You might show up expecting a country concert, but there’s a very good chance HARDY will also bring enough heaviness to satisfy the rockers in the crowd.

We’re going to give five people and their guests the opportunity to experience it for themselves.

HARDY is bringing his COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR to Cook’s Garage on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The show is scheduled to begin around 7 p.m., so you can rock your face off and still get home at a somewhat responsible hour.

That’s the beauty of HARDY. He can bring together country fans, Southern rock fans and people who simply want their music to hit with some real weight.
