Here’s What’s Closed In Lubbock This Monday For Labor Day
Labor Day seems like the perfect time to catch up on a few things, but careful, some just aren't available.
City Of Lubbock
Don't expect any city services on Monday. All City Of Lubbock Offices will be closed, In addition trash collection for Monday and Tuesday will be shifted to Tuesday and Wednesday. You won't be able to take care of that trash problem by yourself either, because all of the city drop-off stations and the landfills will be closed.
Recreation
All City Of Lubbock libraries will be closed. The Silent Wings Museum, Buddy Holly Museum and Garden And Arts Center are also closed. Are elders and others are also stuck at home because all community and senior centers are closed.
More Closures
Labor Day is a federal holiday, that means all federal/government offices will be closed. Post Offices will be closed and most banks close as well (lucky for you they have those ATM's for access to your loot). Costco is one of the very few national retailers that is closed on Labor Day.
More Sales
Labor Day is a big day for big tickets sales. If you're needing furniture, a mattress, or a large appliance, they are traditionally on sale Labor Day weekend. Of course there will be a lot of other businesses trying to glom on to the shopping frenzy as well.
One Note
Sadly, as mentioned above, Labor Day has become big business for a lot of retailers. That means a lot of people have to work. Take a minute and thank them for being on hand while so much of the rest of the U.S. has the day off.
