Hot Dog! Here’s Where To Find The Biggest Wieners In Texas!
Texas love hot dogs. You are about to find out how much!
Texas Loves Hot Dogs
Did you know "hot dogs" are one of the most searched for items during the Super Bowl in Texas. Hang onto your boots because I have other hot dog trivia for you. The top hot dog searched for in Texas is "Korean Hot Dogs". How about this, did you know corn(y) dogs were invented in Texas? Heck, even though it had a double-meaning, even legendary Texas band ZZ Top had a song called, "Tube Steak Boogie" (okay, that may have nothing to do with our topic).
What's On Yours?
As a hot dog fan, I am often troubled by what I'm going to have on my hot dog. Yes, troubled because I can only eat so many at one time. Ketchup is pretty good on a dog that's just come off the grill. I like the ingredients in a "Chicago" dog. Now get ready for a shocker, the "perfect" go-to hot dog for me has mustard, mayo, onions and relish. Yes, I went there with the controversial mayo.
The Two Biggest
So let's get to that big hot dog. We actually have two to talk about. Number one, and the clear winner is the 2 1/4 foot Wagyu beef dog found at Nick & Sam's Steakhouse in Dallas. This hot dog is an actual monster. It is also an "off-the-menu" item, so you have to ask for it. Now, coming in at number two is the largest hot dog in the majors, "The Boomstick" served up at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Not only do you have to shove down 24 inches of hot dog with that one, it's also a chili dog with chili, cheese an onions!
Let's Grub!
So there you have it. Everything is bigger in Texas, even the hot dogs. Happy eating!
