Huge Rewards For Texas Fugitives Who Have Evaded Capture The Longest
I had a note in my calendar to update an article I wrote in October last year: Still Wanted: Texas Fugitives That Have Evaded Capture Longest
Last year I sorted through the data on the Texas Department of Safety's "Still Wanted Fugitives" page to figure out which ten men have evaded capture the longest. One man has been on the run since 1998!
I thought that my old list would need some serious editing, as some men* got captured and new men took their rank.
*there is only one woman on the "Still Wanted" list, you can read about her here.
Unfortunately, after reviewing my list carefully- there are no changes to be made.

All ten men are still unaccounted for and have yet to be brought to justice for serious alleged crimes like murder, aggravated rape and sexually assaulting children.
Does this mean the Most Wanted list doesn't work?
Absolutely not. Many fugitives are captured and many people are rewarded each year thanks to these lists. They raise public awareness and the rewards are effective at getting people to do the right thing. Again, these are serious crimes, and anyone who comes forward is doing society a favor.
However, like solving cold cases, long-gone fugitives will require some new information or some good luck for a breakthrough to be made. Some of these men may be in our countries or may have even died.

That doesn't mean finding them (or finding out they've died) is beyond the realm of possibility. That's why it's important to review these lists and keep the information fresh.
Here are the ten men who have evaded capture the longest. Perhaps you have some information that can help our Texas Rangers (and possibly get you paid big bucks).
