It’s National White Chocolate Day
Let's talk about the sweetest of chocolates and the sweetest of DJs: me.
We'll start at the top. For a long time, I referred to myself as "White Chocolate." I personally found the nickname hilarious because I am not sexy, sweet or anything you'd associate with actual white chocolate.
Here's how I came up with the nickname. If you remember, the "strongest man in the world" Mark Henry did a character run in the WWF. (I think it was still "F" and not "E" at that time) as "Sexual Chocolate." It was a ridiculous stunt, so I topped it with more ridiculousness.
At the time, I was no fan of actual white chocolate. I actually worked in a candy store when I was 14 and every time I tasted white chocolate it tasted like soap to me. When I started using the nickname (and printing shirts for it), I started trying variations on white chocolate, like Reese's White Chocolate Cups, and before I knew it, I like straight up white chocolate.
There's a whole world out there with great white chocolate tastes, including white chocolate Kit Kats, Hershey's Cookie & Cream Bars and the aforementioned Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I also like white chocolate dipped fruits and, when I can find them, I rock with Zero Bars.
So there you go. Celebrate National White Chocolate Day for me, or because white chocolate is awesome (once you develop a taste for it).
