While Lubbock isn’t necessarily known for its lakes, it still has some great ones that deserve to be taken care of.

One Lubbock business that really understands this is SUPLubbock, a stand-up paddle board rental service. They are located at Dunbar Historic ‘Lake 6’, and they are coming together with a few iconic Lubbock businesses for a much-needed park clean-up day on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

From 9:00 a.m. to around noon, they are accepting volunteers to help in their clean-up efforts. There will be a variety of businesses there to help clean as well as encourage any volunteers that come held with some goodies and clean-up help.

Goodies:

Lubbock’s Monomyth Coffee will be providing fresh, hot coffee for volunteers. Main Event will be present with fun items for kids and adults. Llano Cubano will be onsite with food while supplies last. SUPLubbock will also offer $5 off a 1 hour paddle board or kayak rental for volunteers.

After the clean-up is done, Good Line Beer Co. will provide a space and celebratory drink for volunteers once the project is complete. They are a family-friendly business and will provide juice boxes for the kids.

Clean Up:

Keep Lubbock Beautiful will be providing a trash receptacle, gloves, vests, and bags. Good Earth Recycling will be there to properly dispose of recyclable goods. Clean Can has donated restroom facilities for the day.

Pontos will be onsite with their lightweight, packable kayak, to help clean the water. Also, Mountain Hideaway will be supporting some of their clubs, including fly fishers who have bibs to get into the water and do some cleaning that way.
