Every Body is Welcome at This Free Lubbock Pool Party
No matter what your body looks like, as long as you have a swimsuit on, you have a swimsuit body. Whether you’ve got a tummy, rolls, body hair, or stretch marks, your body is beautiful, and you deserve to spend a care-free evening at the pool.
Thanks to a sponsorship from Caprock Mortgage Solutions, LubbockPRIDE is hosting their Every Body Pool Party at the Texas Tech University Student Leisure Pool.
This event is free to the public and welcomes anyone and everyone that wants to join, all children attending must be accompanied by an adult. All you have to do is register per person at lubbockpride.org. There is a limited capacity, so registration is first come first serve.
The Every Body Pool Party will be on Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
As a plus-sized person, I appreciate organizations aiming to form body-positive and safe spaces for people of every shape and size!
The TTU Leisure Pool offers a variety of ways to enjoy the water including a lap pool, diving boards, lazy river, and splash pad. It is a great space to get some sun, cool off in the water, hang out with friends, work on your tan, and overall have fun.
If you wish to visit the TTU Leisure Pool another time, it is open to the public with a $10 fee per person. Current Texas Tech students can also enjoy the pool for free with a valid student ID.
