The Texas summer always comes with a mixed bag of feelings. There is the plus side of enjoying delicious seasonal fruit, spending time in the water, and having a classic summer barbeque, but during all of that you have to deal with the brutal Texas heat and humidity.

Why do Texans not like summer?

I do love the summer in its own way, but the change from the Texas heat to the cool of fall is something special. Summer has had its place, but I'm done with sweating any time I leave my house, and I am so ready for fall to come.

I know I’m not alone in thinking that fall is one of the best times of the year. Whether you are into Halloween, sweaters, pumpkin spice, or campfires, there is so much to love about the fall.

Now that the 4th of July has passed, there are signs that Texans are done with the summer and are ready to fall to finally arrive.

How do you know people are ready for fall?

Social media feeds are being flooded with fall content including Halloween preparation, recipes, bucket lists, and more. We are also seeing fall décor starting to hit the shelves at places like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby.

Anytime we get a hint of rain and a slightly chillier morning over the next couple of months, I know it will have all the fall-lovers anticipating the official change of the season. I personally can’t wait to bust out my fall wardrobe, visit a pumpkin patch, drink apple cider, and watch cozy movies with my favorite fall candle lit.
