A Texas Resident Is $2 Million Richer After Winning Mega Millions Lottery Prize
Who wouldn't want to wake up and learn that they were $2 million richer than they were the day before?
There is a new millionaire in Texas after a resident in North Texas won $2 Million playing Mega Millions.
The winning ticket was purchased in Arlington but according to WFAA, the winner is a Grand Prairie resident that won the prize. As most winners seem to do these days, they have chosen to remain anonymous and claimed the prize on January 24. The winning ticket was purchased at a store called Ballpark Beverage convenience store at 2100 E. Lamar in Arlington, Texas.
Mega Millions is different than the normal Texas Lottery game. Those playing Mega Millions choose five numbers then chose a Mega Ball number from a group of 25 numbers. In order to win the entire Mega Millions jackpot, you have to match all the numbers, including the Mega Ball.

According to WFAA, Mega Millions offers a standard jackpot starting at $20 million. You can win a million dollars though by matching the first 5 numbers. Players can also choose the "Megaplier" option where players can pay more to multiply their non-jackpot winnings.
The North Texas resident joins other Texans who have hit it big playing one of the lottery's many games. Just last week we reported that a Texas resident won a million dollar prize from a scratch-off ticket.
