
Lubbock County Commissioner Cary Shaw Suffers Heart Attack
Lubbock County Commissioner Cary Shaw, who represents Precinct 3, suffered a heart attack on Wednesday, January 7. Shaw himself made the announcement on Facebook on Thursday when he also announced that he would be missing the next Commissioners Court meeting on Monday, January 12.
Shaw Reveals Heart Attack
For someone who just suffered a heart attack, Shaw seemed to have been in good spirits when posting to Facebook. Shaw posted on Facebook that doctors "put a stent in last night" and that he is out of pain. Shaw posted that if all goes as planned, he will be back for the next meeting after the January 12th meeting. Shaw added that he would be "taking care of business by phone" while out.
On Friday morning, Shaw posted a thank you to those who sent prayers and well wishes.
