A Texas man has claimed a million dollar prize in the Texas Lottery after hitting the winning combination in a scratch-off game.

San Angelo Man Wins Million Dollar Prize

According to ConchoValleyHomepage, a San Angelo man won the one million dollar prize on a scratch off ticket. The game, called Diamond 7s has four top prizes of one million dollars according to the report and press release from the Texas Lottery.

“This was the first of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game,” Texas Lottery said. “Diamond 7s offers more than $137.4 million in total prizes. Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.51, including break-even prizes.”

The winning scratch off ticket was purchased at Walmart at 610 W. 29th St. in San Angelo. The winner has chosen to remain anonymous. Most experts tell lottery winners they should remain anonymous if they win a large jackpot.
