
Slaton Gets Ready To Party With Oktoberfest, Cornhole, and Sausage Festival
A weekend of fun, food, and festivities is coming to Slaton, Texas during the annual St. Joseph's Annual Sausage Festival which begins on Saturday, October 19. The two day event is one that people in Slaton, Lubbock, and surrounding cities always look forward to this time of year.
And this year, there are some great events taking place during the Sausage Festival in Slaton. On Saturday, bulk sausage sales will happen where attendees can buy regular, habanero, and jalapeno sausage. Sausage sales will be from 9-11am at 21st and Division in Salton.
Also on Saturday, October 19 from 11am to 10pm will be Oktoberfest in the same area. During this time, you'll find plenty of beer and wine. And also, if you are like me, a fan of cornhole, you may want to sign up for the corn hole tournament that begins at 11am Saturday, October 19. The cornhole tournament cost $20 to participate.
Then on Sunday, October 20th the festival will serve a German Sausage meal served at 11am for $15 per person. At 2pm Saturday, a live auction will take place.
