Texas Tech's Hot Streak

Speaking of the Homecoming Game against Arizona State, Tech took care of business, securing a massive 21-7 lead in the first quarter. That lead stayed throughout the game resulting in a 53-25 victory over the Sun Devils. We also can't talk about the win without including Ben Roberts' clutch pick-6 early in the game.

Did you miss the game? No worries, check out these highlights from the Big 12 Conference YouTube page:

This marks the sixth consecutive win for Texas Tech, and they currently sit at 6-0 this season.

The last time Tech won the first six games of the season in a row was last year, and in 2013, the Red Raiders won the first seven games. So, can Texas Tech win this weekend's matchup against Cincinnati and tie their record over the past 17 years at 7-0?

If you're wondering, seven games in a row is NOT Tech's best record since 2000. That would be 2008's season where they won a whopping 10 games in a row before being defeated by Oklahoma, 65-21.

Red Raiders Climbing in National Polling

Two national polls saw Texas Tech advance from last week. The U.S. LBM Top 25 Coaches Poll placed them at No. 5 while the AP Poll put the Red Raiders at No. 8 so far in the season.

Get this: The Coaches Poll originally had Texas Tech at No. 9 in their Top 25 list before Saturday's win over Arizona State before advancing to the No. 5 slot. If you're curious, the schools leading the Top 25 is Miami followed by Ohio State, BYU, and then Georgia.

Texas Tech heads to Ohio to play the Cincinnati Bearcats this Saturday, October 24, with an 11 a.m. kickoff. Who's ready for win number seven!
