Across Texas we've seen some good rains and temperatures are up and for the next several days it appears as though we will have some great weather throughout the state. That means many Texans will be hitting lakes, rivers, and ponds to do a little fishing.

So, where are the fish biting right now?

According to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, across the Lone Star State there are several places where the fishing reports are coming back "good".

The Texas Parks and Wildlife website updates each week their fishing report site. Fishing reports are normally updated by Thursday morning and the information is collected by a third party who spoke with fishing guides, marinas, and bait shops.

Here's a quick look at some lakes across Texas with some good reports coming back.

Alan Henry GOOD. Water clear; 70 degrees; 4.15 feet below pool. Water them 68. Crappie are good shallow to 18 feet of water on jigs and minnows. Bass are still on beds. Report by The Bait Shop, Post, Texas.

O.H. Ivie GOOD. Water slightly stained; 74 degrees; 30.11 feet below pool. The lake is still on the rise after the recent rains. Largemouth bass are good on topwaters with catches up to 7 pounds. Big plum or red bug worms are good in 8-18 feet of water along ledges. White bass are good on the north island and mid lake using top waters and rattle traps. Crappie are fair, migrating toward deeper trees suspended 10-12 feet. Catfish are excellent with catches up to 18 pounds on cut shad and live bait up river in muddy water shallow. Possum Kingdom GOOD. Water clear; 76 degrees; 0.22 feet below pool. Stripers are fair to good in 30-70 feet of water. Live bait is still the most consistent way to put fish in the boat, but some can be caught trolling lures on downriggers. Good colors are white, chartreuse, and silver if you decide to troll. Sand bass are slow, use live shad or small slabs and jigs. White, and silver are good colors. You will definitely have to look for scattered fish in 10-20 feet of water. Catfish are good in 30-50 feet of water with cut shad. Water clarity is steady at 2-10 feet of visibility. The north end of the lake is extremely muddy. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service. Fishing conditions are the same with a few bass in shallow water but transitioning deeper. Bass are good on topwaters in the mornings, then using worms later in the day in 12-15 feet of water.
