Okay, this is a tough one. The more you write about how stupid something is, the more opportunities it gives for the idiots to deny it.  Still, this won't go way until September, so let's have some fun.

What would you say if I told you there was a crazy person in Austin? Chances are you'd either say "there's a lot of crazy people in Austin" or "everybody's crazy in Austin".  Okay, now that we have this established, almost all of the conspiracy theories about Operation Jade Helm were started by the same radio personality in Austin. He's been doing this kind of thing for 20 years and still, hasn't ever been proven right. He's such a conspiracy nut, that there is a conspiracy about him (that he's really comedian Bill Hicks).

Anyhow, it doesn't matter who started this nonsense, it matters that none of it is happening.  Do you hear bombs going off? Have you been given a curfew? Have any of your relatives disappeared?  I find peoples complete lack of logic to be amazing.  If the military is trying to take over Texas, then HOW?  Theres no gunshots, no round ups, no martial law.  NONE OF IT IS HAPPENING.

So let's go to the conspiracy theorists next line of mental defense "just you wait" or "you'll see".  Exactly what is that? How long do I need to wait and when will "I see"? Just give me any date, or any proof at all.  Don't give me a "wait and see".  I could say unicorns are going to take over Idaho and turn it into Candyland, just you "wait and see",  and I'd be making a statement as accurate and an argument as compelling as the one you're making when you use those terms.

So why bother with this?  Well, as I mentioned, I can't stand it when people spread the stupid, it's just a personal irritant. If you need another reason, how about we say I'm writing this out of respect for our American Military Forces. These soldiers don't need to be looked on with suspicion.  Kids shouldn't be afraid of them.  We should support them in their efforts at becoming better at what they do. The more training they do, they less likely they are to die. That's reason enough to tell the Jade Helm conspiracy theorists to get real or hit the road.

p.s. This is not, by far, my lost post on this topic. I'll be picking apart the logic of "invading Texas" next.
