The Real Reason Texas Will Never Get Kum & Go Convenience Stores
I'm sad to report that Texas will never get a Kum & Go convenience store location.

It has since spread to several other states including Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
So you may have seen one or two locations during a road trip and raised your eyebrows/ laughed hysterically.
And yes, merch is available but you'd better hop on it quick, as Kum & Go is going into the history books.

The reason Texas will never get a Kum & Go is because the chain was bought out by Maverik, who is undergoing an understandable (if disappointing to immature people like me) rebranding.
Kum & Go locations are gearing up to take convenience to the next level when they reopen as Maverik — Adventure's First Stop. We're working hard to make the transition as seamless as possible, but there will be some brief closures during each location's remodeling process.
If you have any Kum & Go points, they won't roll over, so be sure to use them up if you're visiting any locations soon.
Even though Texas will never get a Kum & Go, we do have plenty of Toot N' Totums, for which I am very grateful.
