I'm sad to report that Texas will never get a Kum & Go convenience store location.

The reason Texas will never get a Kum & Go is because the chain was bought out by Maverik, who is undergoing an understandable (if disappointing to immature people like me) rebranding.

Kum & Go locations are gearing up to take convenience to the next level when they reopen as Maverik — Adventure's First Stop. We're working hard to make the transition as seamless as possible, but there will be some brief closures during each location's remodeling process.

If you have any Kum & Go points, they won't roll over, so be sure to use them up if you're visiting any locations soon.

Even though Texas will never get a Kum & Go, we do have plenty of Toot N' Totums, for which I am very grateful.
